With the development of electronic products and new energy vehicles, consumer’s demand for power and energy storage increases. The advantages of high energy density and long life of power lithium-ion battery make it the most practical and valuable new energy electric vehicle battery candidate.  

In the next few years, as traditional fuel vehicle companies increase their deployment in new energy vehicles, domestic and foreign lithium battery market demand will maintain a rapid growth trend. Mainstream power lithium battery companies at home and abroad have announced substantial expansions to increase the company's production and sales scale, expand the scale effect, and reduce the production cost of unit products in response to the rapid development of the new energy industry.  

From the perspective of technological development, vehicle power battery technology is a bottleneck technology that restricts the industrialization of electric vehicles. With the gradual deepening of the industrialization of electric vehicles, countries and key enterprises have stepped up efforts to develop the power battery industry. The high specific energy power battery technology, based on new materials and structures, has become the focus of competition in various countries. It is also significantly improving the safety of current vehicle power batteries, life, low-temperature characteristics, and cost reduction in industrial technology development.

While pure electric vehicles and plug-in mixed vehicles have rapidly developed domestically, the other energy-saving vehicles have also multiplied internationally. Light hybrid vehicles require batteries to provide higher energy and even power. As a result, the 48V power system is accelerating the development and application, and it is another vast application field and development opportunity where lithium-ion batteries may show advantages.
